帰省をテーマに故郷を写した何気ない日常風景を切り撮った本書。見知らぬ土地のはずなのに「帰省」という視点で覗いてみると、どこか見覚えのある懐かしさや、哀愁のある風景が思い起こされます。そんな不思議な体験をしてみてください。 本書は手製本で仕上げています。『帰省』という一冊では、糸で綴じる手法を選びました。指先の感覚を頼りに、一冊ずつ手で綴じています。同じ手順でも、仕上がりにはわずかな差異が生まれます。それがむしろ自然で、どこか愛らしい表情をつくってくれます。帰省の本を束ねる巻紙には、旅の情景を想わせるタグを添えました。移動という行為をかたちにすること。飛行機のタグは、その象徴として静かに佇んでいます。読み進めるなかで、ふと自分の記憶と重なる瞬間があれば── This book quietly captures scenes of everyday life in the photographer’s hometown, all seen through the lens of returning home.
